ABOUT RAGING CANE DOG TRAINING
Serving all of Southern California.
Real experience, straightforward training, and a focus on what actually works.
For most of my life, this was just something I did.
People had issues with their dog, my name got passed along, and I’d help. It was never something I advertised or tried to build into a business. It just grew through word of mouth.
Over time, it became pretty clear this is what I was supposed to be doing.
THIS DIDN’T START AS A BUSINESS
HOW I GOT HERE
Before dog training, I spent years working as a fashion photographer in New York. It was a completely different world, but it taught me how to pay attention, read situations quickly, and pick up on details most people miss.
That way of thinking has carried over into how I work with dogs.
Dogs have always been a big part of my life though. For over 25 years, I’ve been working with them in one way or another, long before I ever thought about doing this professionally.
In 2025, a lot changed at once. We lost our home in the Malibu fire, my son left for college, and we made the move to Venice. It was a reset in a lot of ways, and it gave me the space to really think about what I wanted to focus on moving forward.
I kept coming back to the same thing. Working with dogs and helping people figure things out with them.
So I made the decision to turn what had always been word-of-mouth into something more intentional. That’s how Raging Cane started.

No rigid system. Just what works.
I don’t follow one strict method or try to force every dog into the same system.
Every dog is different. Every home is different. So the training has to reflect that.
What I focus on is:Clear communication between you and your dog
Structure that actually makes sense in your day-to-day life
Consistency so things don’t fall apart after training ends
A big part of this is teaching you what to do, not just working with your dog.
Because if you don’t understand it, it’s not going to hold up long term. -
Straightforward communication
No overcomplicated training plans
Real expectations
Results that carry over into real life
This isn’t about creating a perfectly trained dog in a controlled environment.
It’s about building something that works when you’re at home, out in public, or dealing with real situations.
OUTSIDE OF TRAINING
A little more about me…
When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family and my dog, Thunder.
He’s a big part of everything I do and has been with me through this whole process.
I’m also still drawn to photography. It’s something I’ve done most of my life, and it’s a big part of how I see things. Paying attention, reading situations, and noticing details. That carries over into my work more than people expect.
